Fall 2015 Wednesday Men's Recreational Basketball @ BOSCO Center

We had a thrilling night of basketball with number of close games. The final two games came down to a single possession. Every team showed improvement from week 1 and looks like we'll have an exciting season.

In the first matchup of the night, the Buckeye Ballers used their team speed to pull away from nothing but net. The Ballers were able to push the ball and create a fast tempo that they thrived in. Nothing But Net did have some good runs to cut back into the lead, but the Ballers would soon answer with a run of their own.

The Father's House and Sit On My Face brought us our first overtime game of the year. Sit On My Face looked to take control of the game with under a minute left in OT going up by 2, but The Father's House came down with a clutch 3 to put them up with time winding down.

The Swat Team and Sit On My Face, capped the night off with another one possession game. Both teams battled throughout the game and neither team was able to put up much separation whenever they took the league. But it was Sit On My Face that held the 2 point lead when the final buzzer sounded.

We had another wild night of basketball this week. There was a buzzer beater and an overtime thriller in this week's action. The competition is tight and the league still looks to be up for grabs by anyone.

Nothing But Net and The Father's House squared off in the first game of the night. This was a tight battle throughout with a tied scored at half. The game remained a nail-biter until the end. The score was tied with only a few seconds remaining, Nothing But Net pushed the ball the full length of the court and knocked down a wild running three at the buzzer for the win.

The Buckeye Ballers continued to show off their great shooting and slashing ability in their match up with the SWAT Team. The Ballers had the 3 ball falling and were also able to penetrate into the paint for some great looks. Both teams had a stretch were they were answering each other's deep shots, but the SWAT Team eventually ran out of steam.

The final game of the night was another OT thriller between the Buckeye Ballers and Sit On My Face. Neither team was able to create much separation on the scoreboard throughout the game. Any run would be answered right back. Sit On My Face did have a chance to win the game at the Free Throw line in regulation with only 1.4 seconds remaining, but they were unable to connect on either FT. Those misses didn't come back to haunt them however, as they were able to hold on and win by 3 in OT.

The Buckeye Ballers picked up another big win over Nothing But Net. The victory kept the Ballers in 2nd place and just one game out of 1st. The Ballers continue to show off a balanced attack of outside shooting and an ability to drive to the basket. They'll be taking on The Father's House next week in a game that will be important for playoff seeding.

The Father's House squared off with theSWAT Team for an exciting second game of the night. The Father's House really focused their intensity on defense and it paid off. Playing an aggressive 2-3 zone caused some turnovers and forced some tough shots from the SWAT Team. They were never able to get into a rhythm like they do in most of their games. With the great team effort, Father's House picked up the victory and will look to keep that momentum going for next week's game.

Great work this season claiming the #1 seed in the playoffs and battling in 2 close games to take home the title. We had great performances from all our teams this season and the competition was tight. We hope to see you all return next season to have this same core of the league continue.
