Week 1
Good games last night as we had some really close games even the blowout game wasnt bad until the end! We will have full schedule up shortly! If you have any questions about anything please let me know at 614-443-0190 or ryan@sportsmonster.net throughout the season. Hope everyone has a great time.

DIAMOND DAWGS OUTLAST SONS OF PITCHES 7-5
Awesome first game as this game got all 7 innings in as both teams defenses played very well and the score reflected it. The Dawgs started out on top early leading 2-1 after 1 inning but Sons of Pitches got hot and took the 5-2 lead and that held until the 5th inning when the Dawgs tied the game back up at 5 and took the lead in the 6th inning 7-5. Sons of Pitches just didnt have the bats this week to comeback and fall a little short.

SWINGTOWN DOMINATES 29ERS 21-6
This game was pretty close all the way through. A few things the 29ers could have done here or there was the difference between victory and defeat, but Swingtown capitalized on a few things and after batting out of order that would have gave them a 2-1 lead actually trailed 2-1 through 2 innings, but a big 3rd inning gave them the 8-2 lead then it went to 11-2. 29ers made it 11-4 before Swingtown was on the verge of run ruling them in the 6th at 15-4. The 7th inning we did Texas Shootout where Swingtown added a few more insurance runs to take the game 21-6.

Week 2
Week two of the season wasn't to shabby. Two games that could of gone either way and one blow out game. The good news was that the rain didn't catch us so all games were played smoothly and with no issues.

The 29ers vs. Sons of Pitches

The 29ers were so ready to go! They were all there hitting team BP and all 45 minutes before game time. Now that is what I call dedication! The only issue is that that BP didnt do to much help this week...... Sons of Pitches kind of said " No thank you this is our win" and came out swinging the bats scoring 15 runs in 5 innings. Do not give up 29ers! Your stud 1st baseman will lead you guys! You'll get your win! Final score "The 29ers" -3 "Sons of Pitches" - 15

Diamond Dogs vs. Swingtown

Both teams came into today's game following a huge win last week. Both showed that they can hit the ball very well when needed. For the majority of the game it was a 1-0 ball game until the Diamond Dogs finally made a strong push in the 5th and their bats heated up. Two out rallies is what won Diamond Dogs this game. Huge two out clutch hits where the story of this game. What more can you ask for. Diamond Dogs win 8-2 and go on to a 2-0 start.

SwingTown vs. West 5th Dragon Riders

Swingtown had a tough lost the previous game but they knew they had a double header. They couldn't allow one game that already ended impact their next game. Swingtown would go on to play a brand new team to the league by the name of West 5th Dragon Riders. I figured this team being new would mean an easy win for Swingtown but boy was i wrong! this was a grudge match till the end! Swingtown held on tough enough to slip away with a win 11-10 and split their double header at 1-1. Great pitching and hitting including three home run by one player allowed Swingtown to beat the new team.

It was a great day of softball and I will be looking forward to next Monday. See ya

Turf War!!!
*No metal Cleats!!!!! lol please and thank you
Today was a little bit of a change. We were able to play on a turf field today!! I honestly believe it is so much more fun to play on a turf field. Only problem with turf is that you have to watch out for that turf monster. It usually grabs about two or three people while they are running and trips them up lol. Luckily nobody was tripped up during today games.

West 5th Dragon vs. The 29ers

This was a rough start to a double header for the West 5th Dragons. They were short 2 girls having to take 2 outs through out the game and only had 7 to play the field with. Meaning 2 outfielders, yikes! Yeah you can say they were running around a good amount during this game.
No credit taken away from the 29ers though as they played a very good game this week. They were able to put up 17 runs and played great defense only allowing 5 runs. They were able to get their first win of the season. Lets just hope they can play this well when they play a team with its full roster. I do like how they show up extra early every Monday to get some practice in before the game. The dedication is too real ha.

Diamond Dogs vs. West 5th Dragons

The Diamond Dogs continue to piss excellence as they go on to improve their record today to 3-0. The West 5th dragon was able to pick up a girl and their other guy was able to show up so they had a little bit more help for their second game of the double header. It was honestly a close game till about the 4 where the Diamond Dogs pretty much said enough is enough. These Dogs are defenitly the team to beat in this league. Will they stay undefeated. Will anyone be able to keep up with them.
The West 5th Dragons end up dropping to 0-3 after two tough lost. Hopefully next week they can get their team all together and compete for their first win.

Sons of Pitches Vs. Swingtown

I was a little disappointed with this match as I really thought this would of been a hard fought battle till the end. I figure this game to be a nail bitter with one team slipping away at the end or so. Sons of Pitches thought other wise, they came out stroking! Hit after hit double after double and even a couple inside the park homeruns. Balls were flying all over the field when the Sons of Pitches were up to the plate. Swingtown just seemed like they were not ready today. Its okay though it happens, just need to bounce back next week ladies and gents. Sons of Pitches improves to 2-1 while Swingtown drops to 2-2.

Remember ladies and gents there will be no games next week due to games landing on July 4th. We shall see each other in two weeks. Have a great week and a great July 4th. May we all have fun and be safe throughout the weekend.

DEFENSE SHINES
A great rematch from week 1. We can tell some of the teams have gotten better each week and improving. Diamond Dogs remain perfect, but Sons of Pitches and Swingtown are looking to make a push to give the Dogs their first loss and the 29ers also making some waves and improving little by little as well.

DIAMOND DOGS - 8 SONS OF PITCHES - 3
A great defensive game here as the Dogs got out to a quick start making it 3-1 in the 1st inning. SOP almost got out of the inning harmless, but a play here and there kept the inning alive and the Dogs made them pay. However, not any big innings by both teams throughout the game as the Sons of Pitches never put in more than 1 run an inning. The bats never woke up and the Dogs really never were chased in this game. 1 more chance SOP to get the dogs before playoffs!

SWINGTOWN - 9 29ERS - 4
A great game here as well as the score was much closer than the final. The 29ers lead this game 1-0 through 3 innings as runs were hard to come by. Swingtown would take a 3-1 lead in the 4th inning just to have it tied back up in the top 5th at 3s. 29ers would be up 4-3 going into the bottom of the 6th inning when the wheels feel apart on the 29ers as Swingtown mustard up 6 runs to make it 9-4 and the 29ers couldnt come up with anything in the 7th inning. However much approved from Week 1,

Week 5
Diamond Dogs vs Swingtown

The Diamond Dogs continue their excellent play this week as they faced off the Indy team Swingtown. It was a hard fought battle as the game went down to the wires! Both teams played great defense! there was some amazing diving plays last night that saved a lot of runs.
Diamond Dogs took a lead early and with great pitching and defense they were able to keep the lead and walk away with a win. Final score was 7-5. Diamond Dogs Improve to 5-0 while Swingtown drops to 3-3

Sons of Pitches vs The 29ers

This was an easy win for Sons of Pitches as their bats were just way to much for The 29ers today. 15 runs and 0 given away for Sons of Pitches. Game lasted 4 innings before the run rule had to be put in affect. Sons of Pitches improve to 3-2 while the 29ers drop to 1-4

Offensive day
Talk about an offensive showing today! Both winning teams put up a combined 38 points!!!!!!

Diamond Dogs vs Sons of Pitches

Talk about coming out with the bats on fire! scoring 14 runs in the very first inning for the Diamond Dogs. This one was done very early as there was no way someone was going to come back from a 14-1 deficit with a team that just would not stop hitting the ball. Diamond Dogs just continue to run over everybody in this league.

29ers vs SwingTown

Swingtown just keeps getting better as the weeks go by. A nice win here against the 29ers who continue to struggle this season. Swingtown didnt make it any easier for them as they put up 14 runs.

One week left of season! Playoffs will be here soon.
