Week 1 Roundup
Good first week of games. Thanks for everyone making it out and ready to go and play, all teams did a great job.

HOSERS HOSE DOWN BALLCHX 24-5
After a sluggish first inning by BallChx allowing 5 runs and starting down 7-0 after 2 innings Ballchx got back into the game a little bit scoring 2 runs to make it 7-2, but Hosers offense was too much for Ballchx to handle. Ballchx did keep from getting run ruled as the Hosers did pick up 8 runs in the last inning to make the score a little more lopsided.

ARTISTS FORMERLY KNOWN AS PRINCE FIELDER ESCAPE THE BEERS LATE BEER RUN 17-14
The Artists went up big on the Beers who started a little slow going up 10-2 through 3 innings, but then the Beers put on their goggles and put up 4 runs to make it 10-6 then scored 3 the following inning to make it 10-9. The Artist would score 1 the next inning only to give way to the lead as the Beers tied the game up at 11s. 6th inning the Artists in the bottom of the inning put up 6 runs to make it 17-13 and in the 7th the Beers were only able to put up 1 run to fall 17-14 in the closest game of the night.

SERIF CREATIVE WAXES POETIC ON THE DYING QUAILS 12-5
Good defensive game here as it was tight early but a 6 run outburst in the 4th inning by Serif gave them some cushion and a few more runs over the next few innings made it 12-1 and in the 7th inning the Quails made an attempt of a comeback but not enough falling short.

FAWLEYWOOD TRUMPS THE WALL 18-6
Trumps Wall was looking pretty strong early going up 6-2 through 3 innings, but Fawleywood put up 9 runs in the 4th inning to make it 11-6 then added 7 more runs to run rule Trumps Wall in the 5th as the no presidential candidate is stronger than Fawleywood.

Run Rulers
Good warm night of softball last night. Games were closer than most of the scores indicated, but the winning teams bats had a couple hot innings to wrap up the game with.

Fellas - I want to play all 7 innings and I know you do too. So before your game starts you need to be warmed up throwing before your game starts. After game ends home team take field pitcher takes a few pitches and we are off. If your team is showing up late etc...then we will have to go into the game without warmups. Close games I do want to play them out so I will help you out if you help me out!

Trumps Wall - 21 Dying Quails - 6
Trumps Wall showed its force this week after a tough week in the polls last week. The Quails couldnt find a way off the field if they tried in the early going. However, they did put up 5 runs in the 5th inning to make it a little respectable, but this game was Trumps Wall from the get go.

Fawleywood - 18 Artists - 6
This was a real close game through 4 innings with the Artists actually leading the game 6-2 through 3 innings. However, just like last week Fawleywood started to hit gaps and 2 innings later this game was over! Artists couldnt make the plays to get off the field and had to surrender to the run rule.

Serif Creative - 13 BallChx - 12
Clearly the best game of the night didnt look like it would be early as Serif went off on and 8-1 lead through 3 innings, but Ball Chx hit a 6 run 4th inning to make it 8-7. The 5th inning we had Serif go up 10-7, but in the bottom of the inning we had a new leader at 11-10 with Ballchx looking to finish the game out hot. Serif tied the game in the 6th inning at 11s and then in the 7th inning Serif went up 13-11 and BallChx had the last at bat, but could just put up 1 run to fall just short in this thriller.

HOSERS - 18 BEERS - 7
The Beers had trouble getting the ball over the plate in the early going, but once the ball did start getting over the plate the Hosers made them pay. It was 11-0 before the Beers got on the board and the game was a wrap in the 6th inning, but the Beers did get it within the run rule scoring 3 at their final at bat.

Week 3 Preview
DYING QUAILS V. ARTISTS - This should be a good matchup. Both teams coming off a lose this past week. Can the Quails put it together in the outfield or will the Artists take advantage. Should be a solid game though overall.

BEERS V. FAWLEYWOOD - The Beers also down 0-2 in the standings can make a push this week going up against a tough opponent 2-0. They will need to step up their game from last week to compete, but I believe they can do so. Fawleywood has had 4 big innings so far this season that has put their opponents to bed with after falling behind in the early innings so beware of the mid inning bats.

HOSERS V. SERIF CREATIVE - Both teams undefeated so should be a fantastic game. Serif coming off a thrilling win could give them momentum in a close game as the Hosers have beat up all opponents so far. Should be an exciting game!

TRUMPS WALL V. BALLCHX - Should be another great game as Ballchx coming off a heartbreaking loss looks to bounce back. Trumps Wall looks to have found their stroke in last game and looks to continue it. I expect a great game this week.
HOSER HOSE DOWN
Good thing for cooler weather last night at the games and luckily the last game saved the night from being a complete blowout and even that game was on the verge of a run rule.

SANDWICH ARTISTS - 22 QUAILS - 12
This game was the closest of the night not counting the final inning as both teams were neck and neck all evening. The Artist did lead each inning and then had a nice big 3rd inning to take the game to 8 run lead, however the Quails answered each time. It was 15-5 but then the Quails got it to 15-12 before the final assault in the 7th inning giving the Artists as 10 run lead which would hold. The Quails put to much into the comeback to soon and fell just a little short.

FAWLEYWOOD - 16 BEERS - 3
The sluggers started strong opening up a 7-0 lead in the 1st inning. The game would get to 7-2 before another high scoring inning by Fawleywood took place. The Beers just didnt have the bats to match up to Fawleywood this week. Also this was the battle of the 1 bat teams. Fawleywood apparently had the better bat.

HOSERS - 29 SERIF CREATIVE - 2
Well not much to say about this game besides it was going along smooth through 5 innings. 14-2 through 5 then the 15 run 6th inning hit Serif like a F5 Hurricane where the Hosers just found the gaps and nothing could be done about it.

TRUMPS WALL - 22 BALLCHX - 18
Finally the last game of the night had all the makings of a quick run rule as Trumps Wall was cruising through the game up 9-3 through 3 innings and had it at 16-5 and then 20-7. BallChx had to get 2 runs to keep the game going and they ended up with 8 runs to make it 20-15. With the hour up and the lights could have gone out at any time the last inning Trump put up 2 runs and Ballchx 3 runs but that would not be enough as another late rally by Ballchx fell short for the 2nd straight week.

Week 4 Preview
SERIF CREATIVE V. ARTISTS - One of the double main event games of the week here. Serif coming off a thumping will look to right the ship here. Artists coming off a nice win of their own will look to keep it rolling. Both teams stand in the middle tier of teams at 2-1. A loss wont be devastating but a victory will help in record book come playoff time.

BALLCHX V. FAWLEYWOOD - Ballchx has been bitten with some tough starts, but have been real good at the comeback..(maybe this should be Donald Trumps team), but have failed short both times the last two weeks. If they start slow again this week they might not get the time to recover against the Sluggers of Fawleywood.

QUAILS V. BEERS - Main Event game part ii here - Good news here is that 1 team should pick up their first victory of the season, unless you know we end in a tie or something. I see an all out barnburner in this game something like 21-19 or 3-2, but nonetheless should be a great one.

HOSERS V. TRUMPS WALL - Both teams have really powerful offenses, but can Trumps Wall defense hold back those Hosers from coming across home or will the Hosers just put every team on the Hosed list?
ONE TEAM REMAINS
4 weeks into the season and we have 1 lone undefeated team as Fawleywood goes down in flames last night, and we have 1 team still winless after a barnburner last night. Should be interesting to see how the middle of the pack teams play out rest of the season.

SERIF TOPS THE ARTISTS 10-4
The Artists were shell shocked after the 1st inning after turning a double play with bases loaded and nobody in Serif would plow 7 runs in to take a dominate 7-0 lead after 1 and looking to end it quick. Serif would add 2 more runs in the 2nd inning and after that would be silent rest of the game. Fortunately for them the defense was solid throughout as the Artists never put up a big inning to threat Serifs lead.

BALLCHX KNOCKOUT FAWLEYWOOD 13-4
Fawleywood brought in the JV team to play Ballchx this week and that proved to be the wrong move as Ballchx held a 12-0 lead and was about to runrule Fawleywood in 5 innings however Fawleywood would avoid the runrule putting up a run in the 5th and 3 more in the 6th, but not enough to make it a game as Ballchx knock out Fawleywood from the unbeatens and give themselves their first W of the season as well.

QUAILS DROPKICK THE BEERS 6-3
A barnburner of a game here as the defense was in full display here. Beers had an early 2-0 lead through 3 innings but the Quails finally got it going in the 4th knotting the game up at 2 a piece. Quails then added 3 more runs to make it 5-2. Both teams added a run in the 7th inning but this game belonged to the Quails giving them their first W of the season and leaving the Beers the lone winless team.

HOSERS TEAR DOWN TRUMPS WALL 29-11
High scoring game over on Field 5 last night as the first inning proved to be a problem for both teams center fielders as the ball found its way to the ground plenty of times on some routine pop flies...ohh those pesky lights. Hosers lead it 8-4 after 1 inning maybe it should have been 0-0 but whose saying. 0 runs in the 2nd inning but then the Hosers opened it up to 18-5 then 18-8, then 29-11 as the final as the Hosers continue to dominate their opponents.

Week 5 Preview
FAWLEYWOOD @ SERIF CREATIVE - We have two 3-1 teams battling it out here. We should see where these two teams stand after this game as pretenders or contenders to the Hosers.

HOSERS V. QUAILS - Quails coming off a nice victory last week, but going to need more than 6 runs to compete with the Hosers this week.

BEERS V. TRUMPS WALL - Both teams coming out of losses last week, but expect this to be one of the better games this week still. Beers can hang with most teams, just need to find a way to score more runs. The Wall is looking to rebound with an offensive outburst.

ARTISTS V. BALLCHX - Artists get to play their first night game of the season. Should be the best game of the night overall matchup wise. Ballchx is looking to seize momentum going forward rest of the season as the Artists seem to go back and forth each week. Should be a great game!

Week 6 Preview
FAWLEYWOOD V. HOSERS - The 2 top dogs in the league battle it out for 1st place this week. Will Fawleywood bring their A game or will Hosers make it another laugher - get to the field early fellas and lets play this out!

BALLCHX V. QUAILS - Ballhx have found their way and looking to make it 3 straight and get back to .500 on the season if they can take care of the Quails. Quails have other plans for them but we will see how it plays out!

SERIF CREATIVE V. BEERS - Beers still searching for W1 on the season and their runs against is very good 4th place in the league but the offense struggles. Serif is looking for a nice victory to hopefully secure 3rd place, but any more losses on the season could move them to 4th in the standings.

ARTISTS V. TRUMPS WALL - Trumps D was their last night giving up 1 run. Trump O has been off scoring just 2 runs last game, but the Artists have been struggling down the stretch, but if they can write the ship next 2 games they can possibly get a home game in the playoffs instead of being the away dogs.

GOOD NEWS THOUGH FOR ALL TEAMS AS THE SEASON CHANGES DRAMATICALLY FOR REST OF THE SEASON AS WE WILL HAVE A FENCE MOVING FORWARD! GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON FIELD 2 HERE ON OUT. ALSO WITH A FENCE COMES A 5 HR LIMIT PER TEAM.
NO QUAILS ABOUT IT!
Excellent games last night in the heat! It was a hot one no doubt about it, but games were close and Week 7 should be great.

HOSERS - 11 FAWLEYWOOD - 6
The battle of the top 2 seeds squared off last night in the opening game and this game was in cruise control speeding along. Tied at 3-3 going into bottom of the 5th where the Hosers put up 5 runs to make it 8-3. Fawleywood would add 1 run in the 6th and 2 in the 7th but not enough as the Hosers wrap up the 1 seed for playoffs. Fawleywood still needs a win this upcoming week to capture the 2 seed.

QUAILS - 25 BALLCHX - 13
Ballchx have been the hottest team in the league the past few weeks and the Quails were on the other end of the hot streak so it looked like it would be the Chx cruising in this game, but the Quails kept pounding and putting up runs all game long and Ballchx came back cutting the game 13-12, but then a 7 run 5th inning and Ballchx only put up 1 in the 6th and 5 more runs by the Quails this game was finished.

SERIF CREATIVE - 14 BEERS - 13
Beers still searching for their first W this season and have been in just about every game the last few weeks and just cant quit get over the hump. Serif is still breathing a sigh of relief that it wasnt them giving the Beers their first W of the season, but this game was close all the way through but Serif played just good enough defense to capture the Win and remains in contention for the 2 seed. The Beers get to prepare for the Hosers now in the 1st round of playoffs.

ARTISTS - 18 TRUMPS WALL - 17
Fireworks in the last game as defense was optional but intensity was all their for both teams. Artists lead it 7-6 after 1 inning of play, but then would trail rest of the ball game until the bottom of the 7th inning when Trumps Wall lead it 17-16 and failing to get the first 2 batters out there was an era at 3rd base which gave up a run and then a drive to left center field brought in the game winner to give the Artists the walkoff victory.

The Fawleywood Sluggers forfeited to Dying Quails.
WEEK 7 PREVIEW
BALLCHX V. BEERS - Better not sleep on the Beers this week if you are Ballchx. Getting closer each week and Ballchx is on notice! Ballchx has alot to play for as in moving all the way to 4th place if things play out their way. Beers are already looking for their matchup with the Hosers, but still lots up in the air with this game.

ARTISTS V. HOSERS - With a big W last night the Artists are on the home side come playoffs, but with a matchup against the leagues #1 team could take a bad turn for the Artists with a loss. However, with the top spot already locked up Hosers dont even need to show up this week, however we all know that wont happen so maybe they will just go through the motions and help the Artists out? Who knows!

SERIF CREATIVE V. TRUMPS WALL - This is the key matchup of the night! Winner takes 3rd place more than likely and loser could drop. So last nights Trumps Wall loss was tough but still not devastating if they can win this week. Serif could possibly get a 2 seed or get bumped to 4th.

QUAILS V. FAWLEYWOOD - Could be a 1st round playoff preview with a Fawleywood victory here. Quails could move up in standings if things happen to fall in their favor with a victory.
LOSING STREAK IS OVER!
The Beers Win The Beers Win! It was bound to happen sometime and the Beers busted their load last night taking care of the Ballchx team who are limping into playoffs. Hosers better watch out the Beers are coming for you. How does a team with the worst record in the league give up the 3rd least amount of runs?

HOSERS TRUMP THE ARTIST IN 7 INNINGS - The Artists didnt come with the energy to knock off the Hosers in this game as it was over basically in the 1st inning when the Artists should have given up 0 runs but ended up giving up 4 in both innings to lead it 8-2. The 4th inning it was 16-2 but then the Artists at least made it a game losing just 18-8.

BEST GAME OF THE NIGHT HANDS DOWN! TRUMPS WALL PREVAILS OVER SERIF 8-7 IN 8 INNINGS!
Fantastic game here. Serif went up 6-0 through 3 innings but then Trumps Wall cut the lead to 6-4 then 6-5 and finally it was 7-7 going into the last inning where nobody wanted to score a run. Top 8th Serif threatened a bit but couldnt drag a run in and in the bottom of the 8th inning Trump with 2 outs and a runner on 1st and 2nd got a hard hit single that drove the winning run in. With Serifs loss pushed them all the way back to 4th place instead of 2nd and Trumps win got them out of 6th all the way to 3rd!

Great season folks, hope you all had a good time this season. Just an FYI Fall season will be played on Mondays and Sundays in Gahanna. Hope to have your teams continue playing. Football starts in Sept and Basketball/Vball/Dodgeball/Bowling in October.

NO NEW PLAYERS FOR PLAYOFFS! DONT BRING NEW PEOPLE ITS AN EASY WAY TO FORFEIT YOUR GAME!

4) SERIF CREATIVE V. 5) ARTISTS
Week 4 rematch with Serif taking this game 10-4 in a defensive battle. Should be a great game as the 4/5 games never disappoint.

2) FAWLEYWOOD V. 7) BALLCHX -
Week 4 rematch where Ballchx dominated Fawleywood 13-4 against a depleted Fawleywood squad, but it was the momentum that got Ballchx their first W of the season and Fawleywood their first L of the season. Should be a good game

1) HOSERS V. 8) BEERS
Week 2 rematch where the Hosers dusted up the Beers 18-7, but a close game for the Hosers in that regards. Beers have been playing well though so can they keep it going and pull off the ultimate upset?

3) TRUMPS WALL V. 6) QUAILS
Week 2 rematch - Trumps Wall had no problems beating a dead Quail in this game 21-6 so can lightning strike twice? Quails are on a 2 game win streak and looking for #3 and playing well at the moment. This wont be no give me game for Trumps Wall like it was in Week 2

CHALK, BUT WITH A CHALLENGE
Chalk it up, but it wasnt without its challenges for the home teams who all trailed past the 5th inning last night! The Away teams made it more difficult then expected and even almost had an 8 over a 1 upset!

Semi Finals and Finals are this Tuesday.

ABSOLUTELY NO BEER I WILL BE CHECKING AND TAKING BEERS IF YOU BRING THEM THEN SENDING YOUR TEAM HOME WITH A FORFEIT.
