Summer 16 Sunday Coed 7v7 Soccer @ Nafzger Park

The Season has begun! Soccer is on its way at Nafzger Park with 6 team going after it on the field. Turnout was good and the games were good.

Lets not even start with the team name here (Insert Cool name). Clever! I must say your name is probably the best one Ive seen this summer ha. With a cool name comes great responsibility and pressure, eh they didn't mind. (Insert Cool Name) scored 7 goals!!!! not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 but 7! wow have a great start to the season why don't you.

2 goals 1 cup vs Don't Call me A Pitch

2 goals 1 cup another no comment on the name lmao!!!!!!! Interesting choice of name here. Well your 2 goals did not come about here people. Only 1 goal for this game! so does this mean your team will now be called 1 goal and 1 cup? ha

It was a good win by the indy team Don't Call Me a Pitch. They caught some chemistry very quickly. First time playing together and they came away with a 4-1 victory.

Positional Awareness vs House Nafzger

Our second Indy team didn't have much luck as the first game as they were not able to pull away with this win. Positional awareness was not going to allow a brand new team take control of their game. Positional Awareness came out with a 3-1 victory

It was one scorching Sunday! The weather easily felt over 90 and having to run around a soccer field for two halves in this heat, yeah not very easy. Never the less all the teams showed up and competed well today even with the weather being how it was.

Insert cool name vs 2 goals 1 Cup

Insert cool name way to go today. Great offensive showing today as your strikers were playing tremendous. Had pressure on 2 goals 1 Cup all game. If they keep playing like this who is going to stop this team. Will they run this league or will someone stop them.

Don't Call Me A Pitch vs Positional Awareness

This game was finished quick as Positional Awareness put up 6 goals in the first half. All thought Dont call me a Pitch was down a girl they fought hard! scoring 3 goals in the second half to scare Positional Awareness just a tad bit.

250 High Flyers vs House Nafzger

This was a very tight game and a great defensive game. A game that started with a quick 2-0 lead for House Nafzger, yet they couldnt hold it once the second half came along. They looked beat up and tired as the heat was a big factor. 250 High Flyers scored two big goals late in the game to end this game with a draw. Both teams receive a point.

It was a sultry summer day for soccer and ended in an upset final featuring the 3rd and 4th place teams: Team Nafzger and 250 High Flyers. Both teams scored upset victories to get there. 250 beat 2nd place Positional Awareness 4-2. Team Nafzger stunned defending champs (Insert Cool Name) 3-2. But that may have done them in. After a 0-0 first half, 250 went on to score an early 2nd half goal. Although both teams had multiple opportunities to put more points on the board, only 250 could connect and won 3-0.
