Summer 16 Tuesday Coed Kickball @ Goodale Park

Week two was an interesting week as we had some super close games and some super big blow outs!! The one thing i do know though is that every team got better and had fun! Who doesn't have fun drinking beers listening to music and playing Kickball, lets be real here.

Slim Kickins vs Kickball Midwest

First off I want to thank both teams for being patient with my umpire and myself as we were running just a tad bit late but still got the game running perfectly! We have some good news though!! Kickball Midwest is in the run column!! I am proud of you guys! went from scoring no runs last week to scoring a couple this week! Can only get better from here ladies and Gents. Slim Kickins took care of business though with a 13-2 victory. Slim Kickins improves their record to 2-0 while Midwest falls to a 0-2 start.

Dad Bodies vs Misfits

Are Dad Bodies the team to beat in this league? can anyone keep up with them? Dad bodies come out with another victory today improving their record to 3-0 this season. Misfits gave them a great fight though! It was a tough game but Dad Bodies pulled away with a 6-3 victory.

Pitch Please vs. Grade School Champs

This was the game of the day ladies and Gents! This game went down to the wires! Last inning drama! Pitch Please was looking like they were going to cruise for a win on this day but boy was Grade School Champs assertive in not allowing this game to slip away. A couple nice plays here and there, a couple big hits here and there and "BAM!!!" Grade School Champs was right back in the game. Heading into the 9th the score was 12-11 with Grade School Champ up. Pitch please started to threaten a bit with a runner on first and 2 outs until their hitter kicked a screaming line drive right into the runners face running towards second which sadly ended the game. I hope that runner had a couple Advil's to take care of that headache.
Overall a good game with Grade School Champ coming away with a 12-11 win improving their record to 1-1 and pitch please falling into a 0-2 start.

Misfits Vs Pitches be crazy

Misfits had it rough today as they had back to back games. They had a tough fought battle in their first game and it showed that they were a bit fatigued by the time they started their second game. On the other hand Pitches Be Crazy was fresh and ready to rock and roll! They were hot tonight!! Nothing could go wrong for this team. Pitches be crazy ran over the Misfits 13-5. Pitches be Crazy Improve to 1-1 and the Misfits drop to 1-2

Blood, Sweat & Beers vs. Kick it and Quit it

There really isn't much to say about this game. The Score pretty much gives it away. I do like how the Indy team Kick it and Quit it still had fun and Scored some runs! Its a progress! Now all we have to do guys is work on that defense and the offense will come over time. Blood, Sweat & Beers improve their record to 2-0 while Kick it and Quit it go down 0-2 to start the season.

It was a great day of kickball and i hope we keep this fun going for the rest of the season. Looking forward to seeing a couple undefeated teams play next week! who will be the first to fall!!! See you all next week and have a wonderful weekend.

Folks we are now down to one truly undefeated team in the league. After a tie between Dad Bodies and Blood, Sweat & Beers it left just one team standing at a perfect 4-0. This team is known as Slim Kickin!

Slim Kickins vs Grade School Champs.

Grade School Champs came out looking good tonight!! trying to improve from their below par performance last week vs a team that had not one a game till Grade School slipped up and gave them a W. This time they faced a power house and this power house was just not going to let this game slip away to a team struggling. Slim Kickins came up on top with a 7-6 victory to improve to 4-0 while Grade School drops to 1-4

Blood, Sweat & Beers vs. Dad Bodies

Talk about a fight to the finish between two teams that had everything to lose! That everything had to do with their first loss of the season for both team being on the line! Two 3-0 teams coming into this game! Of course they would finish tie 3-3 -__- Very competitive match! I cant wait to see these two battle it out come playoff time. Dad bodies drops to 4-0-1 while Blood, Sweat & Beers drop to 3-0-1.

With a win today it has kept them in the middle brackets still with a shot to job to the top of the league if they keep winning and some teams up top slip up. Anything is possible! Will someone from these three teams sneak into the top 3 spots by the end of the regular season!!!! AHHHHH

Grade School CHamps and Kick it and Quit it are lagging behind with a record of 1-4. Hey at least everyone makes playoffs!!!

Another week gone by and another week where we still have two teams that are running the league.

Dad Bodies and Blood, Sweat & Beers continue to dominate as the season is soon coming to an end.

Pitch, please vs Blood, Sweat & Beers

Pitch, please! almost came away with this one! what a tight game. I am pretty sure Blood, Sweat & Beers were a little worried during this game as their undefeated season was on the line. Pitch, please did everything they could to try and sneak away with a win here but just did not have enough in the tank to finish their opponents off. Blood, Sweat & Beers get the win 5-4

Grade School Champs vs. Blood, Sweat & Beers

After a tight win the first game Blood, Sweat and Beers came out and obliterated Grade School Champs. 18-8 a great show on the offensive side for Blood, Sweat & Beers while Grade School Champs continue their slide as we get closer to playoffs.

Slim Kickins vs Misfits

We have two teams here that were heading in two different directions as we are getting towards the end of the regular season. Slim Kickin had two big loses yesterday that destroyed their undefeated season and moved them down 2 games from the number one seed. Misfits has had two great weeks and looked like they were getting hot at the right time. So you know this game was going to be big for both teams as they both had their own stories to continue or fix. Slim Kickins came out with a 4-3 win, a huge win that gets them back on the right track. Misfits just continue to play your game and stay hot. Keep watching out for these Misftis.

Pitches Be Crazy vs Kickball Midwest

Kickball Midwest playing better kickball as the season is coming to an end. They got their first win last week "YAY!" and played a very good and hard fought game this week vs Pitches Be Crazy. Hard fought but just not enough to get their 2nd win of the season. Short celebration I must say but hey at least you got one!!!! Now just need a couple come playoff time. Final score 5-3 Pitches be Crazy

Dad Bodies vs Kick it and Quit it!!!

Dad Bodies took care of business easily. They knew they would take care of business very easy. An undefeated team vs a team that has won 1 game. Not much to say there.

Its been a very fun 7 week season folks, as now we near the ending of many teams and a sunny hot Summer. With everyone playing today you could just smell the playoff atmosphere out at Goodale Park.....Or maybe that was just every bodies body order... ha

The last two seeds battle it out here to see who will move on to play the number one seed Blood, Sweat, and Beers. Both teams here have had a struggling season but looked to turn it around come playoff time. It was a hard fought wild card game as Grade School Champs came away with a 1 run victory 3-2. Eliminating Kick it and Quit it from the playoffs.

Although Grade School Champs had a great win in the wild card game, this one did not go so well for them. Blood, Sweat & Beers came out ready to show why they are the number one seed in this league. And easy 13-1 victory as they move onto the semi finals next week.

Pitches Be Crazy vs Pitch, Please

Coming into today I figured this would be a well fought close game and boy was I right. This game came down to the wire as both teams played amazing defense and keep the game under 6 points total. Pitch,please! is exactly what the winning team said as they clawed their way to a victory 3-2. So if you are reading this then "Pitch, Please! I just wrote about your victory! So no complaints next week about not seeing the article ha ;)

Kickball Midwest vs Dad Bodies

Coming into this game I highly doubt anybody but Kickball Midwest figured this would be a hard fought battle till the last inning. Talk about scaring the number two seed out of their pants. Kickball Midwest came ready to play! Its Playoffs baby! Putting up 4 runs in the first and holding a lead all the way until the 8th inning. Talk about a team massively improving as the season went! A team that could barely score a run in week 1 to a team so close to eliminating the number two seed. Great improvement and a great season. Dad Bodies survive today, but they know next week their game need to improve if they want to win the title again.

Misfits vs Slim Kickins

This has been the story of the Misfits season talk about close games that they cant just get by. So many close games that could of gone either way yet somehow the Misfits come out the losers. Tough season but I like the battle. Final score Slim Kickins 6 Misfits 5
