Saved By the Ball Flash Impressive Defense
Saved By the Ball almost completed the shut out in their 4-1 victory over Slim Kickins. They surrendered their only run in the 9th inning. The game was a defensive battle with both teams going scoreless through 5 innings. Saved By the Ball was finally able to manufacture some runs late that allowed them to rely on their superb defense to carry them to victory.
RIP Haberman Wins Nail Biter
RIP Haberman completed the 9th inning comeback in dramatic fashion to squeak out the victory over Kick grAss. RIP Haberman entered the bottom of the 9th inning down 2 runs and were trailing the entire game. After rallying for 2 runs to tie the game, they had a runner in scoring position with 2 outs. A kick up the middle of the infield, led to a close play at the plate with the runner just beating the throw as he crossed home. We may not have another game as exciting as this one all season, as it came down to the final play at home plate that would potentially be the final out or game winning run.

RIP Haberman With a Comeback
Slim Kickins wasn't able to hold on to their early lead, with Rip Haberman coming back to earn a 12-11 victory. Slim Kickins was able to score early and jump ahead, even with their short handed squad. However, RIP Haberman rallied late scoring 7 in one inning to put them back into control by taking advantage of the holes in the defense. RIP Haberman loves playing in close games, as this was their second week in a row with a 1 run victory.
Saved By the Ball Win Battle with Grade School Champs
Saved By the Ball was able to come out on top with a 8-4 win over the Grade School Champs. The score remained close throughout the game, as both teams were fundamentally sound on both offense and defense. Saved by the Ball was able to kick some big blasts that allowed them to pull ahead. Grade School Champs did stay within striking distance but were never able to rally to get back into it.

Dadbodies Shine in the Mud
The slippery field conditions had no effect on Dadbodies as they were able to come away with a 14-2 win over the Grade School Champs. Dadbodies was able to hammer deep shots to the outfield and speed around the bases as the Grade School Champs had some difficulty tracking down the ball in the mud. The Dadbodies' defense was also able to hold down Grade School's offense, that was missing some of their key big kickers.
Big Offense Carries Saved by the Ball
Saved by the Ball jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in their match up with Glenn YAC. Saved by the Ball had consistent offense throughout the night and even put up a few 5 run innings. Glenn YAC had a hard time getting any momentum on offense as they were facing a stingy defense that did not give up any freebies. Saved by the Ball is now 3-1 and looking to move to the top of the standings by season's end.
Drinkers with a Kicking Problem Put on a Clinic
Drinkers with a Kicking Problem showed why they are a force to be reckoned with in the league. They came away with a 23-4 victory over RIP HABERMAN. Drinkers were able to string together base hits, run the bases aggressively and show off great power to drive runners in. They will be looking to keep up their high level of play to hold onto the number one spot in the standings.

Dadbodies, Pitches Be Crazy
Kick grAss Picks Up the Win
Kick grAss was able to come away with the 9-6 victory in their battle with Glenn YAC. Kick grAss was able to jump out to an early lead and never relinquished it throughout the contest. The game did remain close, as a they never were able to build a comfortable lead. Glenn YAC kept battling and were even shorthanded a few players. Kick grAss was able to bring in enough runs and play some solid defense when it mattered, to come away with the W.
Dadbodies Roll
The Dadbodies didn't have any problems with the second game of their double header, earning a 13-1 victory over Pitches Be Crazy. Dadbodies were able to find the gaps in the defense and capitalize. Their defense also impressed, holding Pitches Be Crazy to a single run. Dadbodies will look to carry the momentum from this game into their last two weeks of the regular season and into the playoffs.
Tough Battle Ends in a Tie
Drinkers with a Kicking Problem and Grade School Champs met up for an exciting 8-8 tie. The game went back and forth throughout, with both teams holding the lead at different times. Wet conditions made every play interesting as anything could happen. Drinkers with a Kicking Problem were able to score 2 runs in their last at bat to tie it up. Then the Grade School Champs had a runner on 3rd base with 2 outs, but came up just short of him scoring for the walk off victory. After such great play by both teams, it was fitting that neither team went home with a loss.

Slim Kickins Tops Glenn YAC
Slim Kickins impressed with an all around great team performance in a 14-1 victory over Glenn YAC. Slim Kickins found the holes in the defense and knew where to attack. The 14 runs they put up were a season high for their offense. On the flip side, they were able to hold Glenn YAC to only a single run. We'll see if they can keep up this type of play as we approach playoffs.
Saved by the Ball Wins Big
Saved by the Ball continued their impressive season by picking a 15-2 victory over Pitches Be Crazy. Saved by the Ball was able to jump ahead early and took advantage of some home runs to create some separation. Big kicks at keys times allowed them to stay in control of the contest. Pitches Be Crazy was never able to get their offense clicking, while some of the blame could be put on to Save by the Ball's sound defense. Saved by the Ball is sitting now as the 3 seed in the tournament and will be looking to come home as League Champions.
